Supercorp Technology reported an 80 per cent take up of its superMate software among new users and confirmed that by February, over 2000 SMSFs were using the service.
According to a press statement, the large take-up of the superMate software came from new users who initially try out the service through a 30-day free trial. "We have a deliberate strategy in place whereby we would like to slowly release the software to the market. However, what we're finding is that demand from those that hear about superMate far outweighs the dates we have set for introducing new clients to our 30-day free trial programme," said Supercorp chief executive Kurt Groeneveld.
SuperMate was unveiled in October 2009 as a new superannuation fund administration software, built on the previous Supercorp flagship product, SuperVisor II. The new software extends the existing SuperVisor II engine and provides innovation and flexibility, delivered via the web.
Groeneveld said that free trials of the software have been occurring in batches since December 2009, with the latest group commencing in April 2010. Supercorp has been developing superMate for three-and-a-half years, making the software a third generation solution.
The software is a hosted application where the database is located and maintained off-site, which enables users to save on disaster recovery and back up processes.
